Marksbury School awarded ‘Good’ across the board by OFSTED

Marksbury CofE Primary School OFSTED inspection in July received a GOOD rating.

Pupils and staff at Marksbury Church of England School are celebrating the start of the new school year following a successful OFSTED inspection in July.   The school was praised for being nurturing and academically ambitious and awarded a ‘Good’ rating.

The inspectors noted:

Marksbury CofE Primary School is at the heart of the local community it serves.  Pupils describe the school as a ‘massive family’ where everyone is friendly and welcoming,   The school is ambitious for what all pupils can achieve …. Pupils display positive attitudes to their learning.  They are keen to share their knowledge and take pride in their work.

Head Teacher , Julie Player said:

We are delighted that the OFSTED inspectors were able to value the school  for its friendly and welcoming nature.  In particular they noted that our staff know each pupil, enabling them to feel ‘safe and cared’ for which is something we strive for as a staff team.
